About AcrossRide Group

AcrossRide Group is an application designed to help motorcycle riders, cyclists, sailors and other outdoor groups coordinate trips, communicate and stay connected during group activities.

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when using AcrossRide Group, how that information is used, and how users can manage their privacy.

Data We Collect

Depending on the features you use, AcrossRide Group may process the following information:

• Account and user information, such as your user identifier and profile information.
• Device and technical information required for the operation of the app.
• Live location data when location-based trip features are active.
• Push notification tokens used to deliver trip and communication notifications.
• Messages and files voluntarily shared within trip chats.

How We Use Your Data

The information processed by AcrossRide Group is used only to provide and improve the application’s functions.

This includes group coordination, live tracking, trip communication, safety-related features, push notifications, technical support and application reliability.

AcrossRide Group does not sell personal information or location data to third parties.

Location Data

AcrossRide Group uses location services to provide live tracking and group coordination features.

Location access is requested transparently before location-based functionality is used. Users can accept or refuse location permission and can change their permission settings from their device at any time.

When live tracking is active, location information may be shared with participants of the same trip so that members of the group can see each other’s position and status.

Location information is used only for the operation of trip-related features and is not sold to third parties.

Live location positions associated with a trip are removed when the trip ends. Any residual GPS information is deleted within a maximum of 30 days.

Chat and Trip Information

Messages, attachments, itineraries and other information voluntarily shared within a trip may remain available after the trip so that participants can review their trip history and communications.

Users should avoid sharing sensitive personal information through group chats unless necessary.

Push Notifications

AcrossRide Group may use push notifications to inform users about trip activity, group communication and other relevant application events.

Users can manage notification permissions through their device settings.

Data Storage and Service Providers

AcrossRide Group uses Google Firebase services to provide essential application functionality, including authentication, database services, file storage, notifications and crash diagnostics.

Information processed through these services may be stored and processed on infrastructure operated by Google in accordance with Google’s applicable privacy and security practices.

Data Sharing

AcrossRide Group does not sell user data.

Information may be shared only when necessary to operate the application’s technical services, when users intentionally share information with other members of their trip, or when disclosure is required by applicable law.

Data Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information handled by AcrossRide Group.

However, no online service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Controls

Users remain in control of permissions granted to AcrossRide Group.

Location and notification permissions can be changed or revoked from the device settings.

Users may also contact AcrossRide Group to request information about their data or to request deletion of personal data where applicable.

Data Retention

Data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the relevant AcrossRide Group functionality and to meet legitimate technical, security or legal requirements.

Live GPS information is subject to the specific retention rules described above.

Trip history, chat messages and itineraries may remain available after a trip unless they are deleted in accordance with the application’s functionality or following a valid deletion request.
